Meal Allowance

$3,500 per year

In addition to the Annual Salary, residents receive a separate Meal Allowance of $3,500 annually.
*Effective 12/16/2024, Meal Allowance will be increased to $3,800 annually

New Resident Onboarding Bonus

$550 one-time bonus

Residents receive a one-time bonus of $550 during orientation and onboarding week prior to start of residency.

Holiday Pay Program

$200 per Holiday

Residents who work clinical shifts during scheduled holidays (such as MLK day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.) are eligible for extra pay of $200 per shift as part of the Holiday Pay program.

Sick Call Coverage Pay

$200 to $558 per shift

Residents who cover their colleagues who call out sick get reimbursement of $200 to $558 per shift depending on the type of coverage (i.e. Long Shift vs Short Shift, Floors vs ICU etc.)

Vacation

4 weeks per year

Residents receive 4 weeks of vacation which can be requested as either two 2-week blocks or a single 4-week block.

Paid Personal Days

2 days per year

Residents are allowed 2 Personal/Wellness Days which can be requested as 4 half days or 2 full days.

Educational Benefits

Professional Education Plan
(PEP)

$750 each year

Residents receive $750 reimbursement every year for board exam fees, books, eBooks, laptops, smartphones, tablets, fellowship applications, and license applications

Continued Learning Program (CLP)

$1,500 every 3 years

Residents are reimbursed up to $1,500 every 3 years for medical conferences, abstract submissions, travel, board reviews, and online educational courses.

QI/Patient Safety Educational Benefits

$3,000 each year

Eligible residents can receive up to $3,000 per residency year to attend an approved QI/Patient Safety Education and Training program in the U.S., covering registration, travel, and tuition expenses.
