{"id":2644,"date":"2014-07-11T19:35:13","date_gmt":"2014-07-11T19:35:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jacobimed.org\/?page_id=2644"},"modified":"2014-07-14T18:54:06","modified_gmt":"2014-07-14T18:54:06","slug":"prescriptions-in-the-clinic","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/jacobimed.org\/old\/ambulatory\/prescriptions-in-the-clinic\/","title":{"rendered":"Prescriptions in the Clinic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At times, you will need to send patient&#8217;s their prescriptions in between appointments.<\/p>\n<p>Common scenarios:<\/p>\n<p>A) Lab comes back abnormal and you want to send patient a prescription<br \/>\nB) You forgot to give patient a prescription<\/p>\n<p>There are several options available to get the patient their prescriptions:<\/p>\n<p>1) Walk-in Clinic: Print and have attending sign prescription, put prescription in labelled envelope and<br \/>\nand give it to Walk-in nurse (4A nurse). Call patient and let them know to come to 4A and pick it up.<\/p>\n<p>2) Mail Prescription: Find patient&#8217;s address (call patient and ask or check on Qmed &#8220;Face Sheet&#8221;), put printed and\u00a0signed prescription in Jacobi envelope, and place envelope in black wire basket in Room 4W-6 (circled in red in picture below).
