NURSING HOME VISIT

You will be visiting a nursing home for
about 2 hours during your ambulatory block.  The medical director will give
you a tour and an opportunity to ask them questions about geriatrics and their
jobs.  If your only exposure to nursing homes has been with patients
admitted to the hospital you will be pleasantly surprised.  Below are
directions and contacts.  Carpool together – meet in front of building 5 at 8 a.m.
Be back to Jacobi by 11:30.

Kings Harbor Nursing Home – 2000 East Gun Hill
Road.   Take Eastchester to Astor Avenue, turn right
on Astor and proceed until Kingsland.  Take a left at Kingsland and go one
block up to Waring.  Turn right on to  Waring and go until it ends in
a T intersection with E. Gunhill Rd.  Turn right on Gunhill and the nursing home
is right there. Park in the visitors lot or on the street. Ask the
receptionist to page Dr. Roy
