Pick 5 of the following questions or generate five of your
own. Use two secondary sources to find
information for each question. Use at
least five different secondary sources.
Turn in the printouts, articles, or whatever you find. You don’t have to actually answer the
question.
1. What should
patients be advised about genital herpes transmission?
2. Your patient is asking you for advise about whether to
go for nerve ending ablation for
unremitting back pain. She wants to know
what you think of this.
3. You’ve heard a
lot of back and forth about the use of long lasting beta agonists in
asthma. You wish to review an evidence

4. Your patient
hates using nasal sprays for her allergic rhinitis. She wants a pill. Antihistamines give her bad reactions. Her friend is taking montelukast with good
results. When should you use this?

been taking alendronate for osteoporosis prevention and aciphex for chronic
reflux both for the last ten years. She
heard last night about the new study showing possible risk of fractures. You realizing you’re going to be getting a
lot of calls about this and you want to be informed.
6. You’re sick of
prescribing antivert to everyone with any kind of dizziness. Does it work? Has it ever been properly
trialled?

appropriate first line therapy for seborrheic dermatitis?
8. Should you get a
mammogram on a healthy 80 year-old female?
