Pregnant women with a positive screening PPD of an unknown duration should
not receive INH prophylaxis during pregnancy because of the increased likelihood
of hepatotoxicity.  Chest x-ray with
an abdominal shield can be offered in the second trimester.
However, INH prophylaxis should be started 2-3 after delivery because she
is a recent immigrant
