This individual should receive PPD screening because he is a close contact of
someone who has active disease.  If
the initial PPD is negative, it should be repeated in three months.
If the second PPD is negative, no prophylaxis needs to be offered.
If the second PPD is positive, prophylaxis should be initiated.
If the initial PPD was positive, prophylaxis should be offered despite
age because of the close contact
