Marianna Strakhan, MD
Dr. Strakhan is a graduate of Sackler School of Medicine/Tel Aviv University. While in Medical School, she has initiated and served as a President of the local Chapter of American Medical Student Association. After Medical School, Dr. Strakhan has pursued her training by completing her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Northshore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY.
Impressed by her performance as a doctor, North Shore University Hospital has offered her a position as a Hematology/Oncology Fellow at their Monter Cancer Center.
Dr. Strakhan has joined Jacobi Medical Center as an Assistant Professor in 2008. She is closely involved in resident and fellow education as well as serves on multiple hospital committees. In 2013, Dr. Strakhan has served as a co-Site Director of the Einstein/Montefiore Hematology/Oncology Fellowship program at Jacobi Medical Center (Bronx, N.Y.). As of July, 2014 Dr. Strakhan is a full Site Director of the fellowship program.
Dr. Strakhan is an active member in the American Society of Clinical Oncology and American College of Physicians. Her interests are in the fields of benign Hematology and Gastrointestinal and Gynecological Oncology. She has published in multiple peer-reviewed Journals and continues to expand her research career.
